The Bladder Clinic
Multidisciplinary Care for Complex Bladder and Pelvic Conditions
The Bladder Clinic provides coordinated specialist care for adults experiencing persistent, recurrent, or complex bladder and pelvic symptoms.
Our multi-disciplinary team brings together expertise in urology, urogynaecology, pain medicine, infectious diseases, clinical psychology, pelvic health physiotherapy, and specialist nursing. This integrated approach allows for a thorough and thoughtful assessment of pelvic health, recognising the close interplay between physical, neurological, psychological and functional factors.
We place strong emphasis on accurate diagnosis, personalised management, and shared decision-making. Bladder and pelvic symptoms are often multi-factorial, and effective care may involve input from several different specialties.
Treatment recommendations are individually tailored, guided by clinical assessment, appropriate investigations, and each person's unique circumstances, values and goals.
Our Multidisciplinary Model of Care
Our clinic operates with shared care planning, where relevant specialists work together to develop a management approach appropriate to the individual.
How Our Clinic Works
Our clinic uses a coordinated multi-disciplinary model of care. All patients are first assessed by a specialist Nurse Practitioner. who takes a comprehensive history and coordinates investigations and care. Based on this assessment, patients are directed to the most appropriate clinicians within the team. Not all patients require input from every specialty, and care is tailored to individual needs.
Bladder symptoms may relate to:
Urinary tract infection or inflammation

Neuropathic or central pain mechanisms
